First off, I’d like to say, I am proud of the respectful Spouses of our Soldiers, Sailors, Marines, Airmen, and Coast Guard.  They’ve done so much to keep those home-fires burning while our men and women are away fulfilling their oaths in serving our Nation.  They’ve raised the kids, paid the bills, stayed faithful, and even provided support for each other through the times of worrying.  From a General and Sergeant Major’s Spouse all the way to the Lieutenant and Private, they’ve done their duties.

Let me point out, (as an Army Veteran who’s deployed twice, and now a Soldier’s wife), the first rule:

-Respect OPSEC.  Even though you have not put that uniform on, or put it on in a long time (speaking of my fellow vet spouses), you still need to keep your mouth shut. Be proud of your serving spouses all you want. Hell, I’m so f%&king proud of my husband and what he’s accomplished so far, that I feel I could burst like those nuts on the movie Aliens (no copyright infringement is intended by that statement so F&%K off, and don’t bother suing me LOL!).

However; if you respect your spouse, you will respect their lives and the lives of their fellow brothers and sisters, and not post anything the Military hasn’t made officially public already. This includes, but is not limited to; Troop movements, dates, numbers, names, SSN’s, addresses, locations, whatever.

One tip to keep yourself safe on this issue? Wait until the Military says it officially first; let their command and NCO leadership handle it; because that’s what they’re there for; they will keep you in the loop as much as they possibly can. So just allow them to do their jobs.

Another rule?

This….really….F&%king pisses me off to NO END.

You will not; I repeat: will not disrespect other branches, whether they be Active Duty, National Guard, Reserves, Active Reserve, under any circumstances.

This goes for that spouse “Catie” who blogged on her pointless rant regarding National Guard Soldiers.

Listen, “Catie”, and all those spouses who feel the same way as she:

Unless you have earned the right to wear that uniform yourself, you will not state that a National Guard Soldier is not a “Real Soldier”. You can poke fun at your fellow wives; keyword: fun. We, as Service members both past and present, have earned our right to wear our uniforms, and we have friendly rivalries between branches, and service statuses.

When it comes down to it, we follow the orders of the same Commander in Chief, we fall under the same Secretary of Defense, the same UCMJ, and we back each other up when shit hits the fan.

What’s really insanely sad, is that your “Hubs”, who is serving duty as a Recruiter (any Soldier reading this, HAVE AT IT!), in VERMONT, is supporting your public view on his fellow Soldiers. Yes, woman. National Guard and Reserves are in fact, REAL Soldiers.

They’re not the Call of Duty players that PRETEND to deploy; they are deploying; they are dying; just the same as us.  They may go back to their civilian jobs once they are complete with their tour or drills; however they still are required by oath and law to follow the orders of the President of the United States.  And guess what? They do.

The job of the National Guard is to protect the United States citizens; they respond to disasters and protect their home (and yours, by the way you douchehat!), on top of deploying with the rest of us.  They are their State’s first response team to a serious shit event.

So, when you’re sitting at home, on your blog, talking shit about this nation’s Troops (Active/Guard/Reserve alike), and a hurricane, blizzard, tornado, zombie apocalypse, alien invasion, demonic uprising, or werewolves attack your home, don’t bitch; because guess who will be pulling your undeserving ass out of that? The National Guard will be right there first.  Why? Because as a REAL SOLDIER, that’s their job.

They help the Active Military do their other job knowing there is still a considerable amount of forces back home, while they’re overseas, yet again, fighting to protect morons like yourself.

U.S. Army WTF! Moments had brought your blog entry to the attention of their fans by the way; (which I am one of them).  All of which are Active, National Guard, Reserve Soldiers and the spouses of them.  And you can tell your “hubs” who apparently is tired of being confused as a National Guard Soldier, that even the Active Duty Soldiers state your argument is just as useful as a can of diarrhea.

We may talk shit to each other (Marines and Army rivalry, especially), however we still fight the same wars when shit hits the fan, and we still have to work together as one military.  But, as far as I am concerned, and plenty others can agree with me if I’m not mistaken, we have earned that right to have that friendly rivalry with each other.  I served the Army, and my Marine buddies still tell me to this day, “Army? You mean, Ain’t Ready To Be Marines Yet?” I get a laugh, and my husband will come back with something else.

But you on the other hand, and others who do it as well, will not, I say again, will not insult the United States Military (Active Duty, National Guard, Reserve, Active Guard Reserve), nor insult the respectful spouses of our Service Members, with your asinine ramblings, and your asinine blog.

Your husband isn’t living the “Real Army Life” anyway, as a recruiter in Vermont.

I challenge you who disagree with her to head to her blog at: http://airbornewife814.blogspot.com/ and let her know exactly how you feel.  It states you must become a “member” to leave a comment. Simple fix; subscribe, leave a comment, and unsubscribe.  And don’t forget to share on your Facebooks and Twitter, for your friends to let her know as well.

And “Catie”, I challenge you to head to the VA hospitals, look all of them in the eyes, and tell them they are NOT real Soldiers.  Because, I’m sure you won’t do it. I’m sure that you may talk like you’ve got the balls on your blog, however, I’m sure you OR your “Hubs” will not get out of your chairs that you both sit in all day long, or have the balls to do it in real life.  Because you both know, that every Vet in that hospital will curb stomp you both with common sense; even with crutches.

So, “Catie” at Army Wife, Army Life?  Bring it on, woman. I dare you.

Update 10 Feb 2012, 10:37 PM EST:

The Command of her “Hubs” had posted a response regarding the concerns of her post on their Facebook page…..apparently PLENTY were pissed. You can view it here.
